I started learning how to dance in 2014 with the CMDance youth team. Since then life has never been the same. What started as a fun hobby has now become part of the core of who I am. The friendships I have made through this community have gifted me a kind of fellowship that I have found nowhere else. The experiences I have had dancing rank among the most exceptional and meaningful moments of my life. Teaching the youngsters in our head start program has allowed me the invaluable experience of getting to nurture the growth of future dancers, just as my fellow colleagues at CMDance have helped to nurture my own growth. In May 2021 I was granted the opportunity to begin writing pieces for our newsletter which has allowed me to further work towards my personal goal of becoming a professional writer.
